Lindsay Lohan: NYC car incident off hook

Lindsay Lohan now has a hit-and-run allegation that's gone away, along with a father who just won't go away. Prosecutors won't be pursuing a charge of leaving the scene of an accident after the actress was accused of hitting a man Sept. 19 while driving a friend's car on her way to a New York hotel nightclub. She was arrested on her way out. Security video of the incident reportedly showed the man's claims to be exaggerated at the very least -- an interpretation the district attorney's office appears to have agreed with, as the court date for the case has disappeared.
Looks like Lindsay was right not to lose any sleep over the arrest.

Cops were called Friday afternoon as Michael was attempting to stage an intervention at Lindsay's Beverly Hills home, TMZ reported. "She's around all the wrong people ... just a bunch of alcoholics and drug addicts," Michael Lohan said after being turned away, explaining to a photographer that he just wanted to "talk some sense into her, get her some help." He further claimed that his daughter's management team was aligned with him. Steve Honig, Lohan's publicist, had no comment for the Ministry on Monday. Previously, however, he told the New York Daily News and ABC News that "Lindsay's team is in no way aligned with him or his actions." Who has been commenting? Lindsay's sister Ali, who told "Extra" on Sunday in a statement directed at her father: "Please stop waging your own personal war against my family. We don't need you to intervene because we can take care of ourselves without you, as we have been all these years." Michael Lohan allegedly called the cops to mom Dina Lohan's home after Lindsay and Dina fought earlier this month in a limo after a night out in New York. And though Michael is saying he's going to petition for a conservatorship for his daughter, a la Britney Spears, Lindsay is reportedly telling friends that's a load of malarky. The Associated Press contributed to this report.
