The troubled starlet's management team is growing concerned about how Lohan is handling her money, TMZ reports.
According to the site, Lohan, 26, may be driving her own success into the ground with bad business decisions and questionable savings practices.
In a series of text messages, Lohan's estranged father Michael Lohan expressed concern about the way his daughter handled appearance fees she received for attending a launch for energy drink Mr. Pink earlier this month.
The "Mean Girls" actress was reportedly paid $150,000 - in cash - for helping to promote the brand, which she promptly gave to her brother Michael Jr. to keep in his bank account for safekeeping.
Michael specifically messaged Lohan's lawyer Dave Feldman, expressing his concerns that his ex Dina Lohan would somehow take advantage of the situation and take the money for herself.
Feldman responded that he was similarly frustrated with Lohan's business sense, saying that Lohan was shooting herself in the foot by not looping him and her business manager into the transaction, especially since they could have gotten her more money for the gig as her management team.
Earlier this month, Lohan and mom Dina had a huge argument that escalated into a full-on screaming match, allegedly over a $40,000 unpaid loan that the actress had lent her mom.
The mother-daughter duo later reconciled, however, joining forces against Michael.
Daddy dearest, meanwhile, has been verbal about his hope to get a conservatorship for his daughter, though not necessarily under him, because he doesn't want people to think he's taking advantage of her finances.
Just last week, Michael attempted to stage an intervention at Lohan's Beverly Hills home, but plans unraveled when the actress called the cops on her dad.
